Frames" refers to the size of your pump. All main spa pumps have either 48 or 56 frames. 48 frame pumps motors are 5.5" in diameter. 56 frame pump motors are typically 6.5" in diameter. You can also determine the frame size from the bolt spacing- the 48 frame is 3-5/8" and the 56 frame is 4-1/4."

motor voltage, not the voltage supplied to the spa to determine the correct pump voltage. There will be a plate on the motor the should indicate Horse Power. Also if one or two speed.(3450/1725 rpm) You can wire a two speed to work as a one speed.

When removing power cord from existing pump we recommend you mark your wires for "common", "High speed", "low speed". The connection diagram for the new pump is located on the motor name plate.

Most wiring of motors are simple.

Besure of the GROUND and " White " COMMON wire placement. The breaker will POP.

They have a { Top to Bottom/ Left to right } numbering ( G, C, H, L ) ( L1,L2, L3, L4 ), etc.   Green is "G" "L1" Ground -   White is " C " L2" Common - Black is " H " "L3 " High Speed and RED is "L" "L4"  Low speed.

If when you turn it on you get HIGH speed - reverse the Black and Red wires.

If wiring a ONE SPEED the it would be  Green - White and Black.

If you are unsure as to whether the pump will work for you, call us and we can discuss it with you.
